Why is it important to use a different email address for AI generated content?
118 West recommends using an email address that is easily identifiable as AI for two reasons. The first is an audit trail, you need a way to understand how your business is automatically responding to your customers. The second is governance. Do you want to be able to find tune and correct any information that doesn't properly represent your business. At the end you might be liable for the AI generated output.
How does B-Bot the Chatbot figure out information about my business?
Our Chatbot B-Bot is designed to use Anthropic AI to scrub your website and not look for information on other sites. This is critical to prevent false information or your competitors information from being presented to your customer.
My App isn't working, what do I do?
That depends on the type of app we are talking about. If it is a paid wordpress app, please log into the client portal and insure the account is current. If it is a mobile app, please verify with the appstore that your account is current or delete the paid version and download the ad supported version.
Does B-Bot the chatbot come "pre-trained"?
Yes and No, the more information you have on your website, the more likely B-bot is going to be able to figure out what is going on and how to best handle your customer. For instance if you send an email blast but don't put it on the website as well under a section like "upcoming events" B-Bot doesn't know to tell your customer and you might have generated a phone call or worse, lost a sale.
What do you mean when you say you can become so effecient that you are ineffective?
All systems need down time or "slack". If you run a system at 100% all the time, any change to the systems inputs will crash it. Look at what happens to the major airlines when a snowstorm hits. Even our bots are limited by your website hosts computer power and your bandwidth. To many queries will slow it down. To understand this better we recommend Roger Martin's book "When More Is Not Better".

What website software do you reccommend?
At 118West we support WordPress based websites and have plug-ins designed only for WordPress. Wordpress is a proven stable platform with thousands of simple andsecure plugins like WooCommerce and Stripe which we also support.
Is there a theme we should use for wordpress?
All of the best themes are paid themes becuase nothing worth having is free. There is a reason the free themes are free and you quickly realize that once you try and customized them. Currently we support Divi 4 and are Testing Divi 5. This website is build on Divi 5 and if you see issues, that is why we are not ready to recommend it. Both of these can be purchased at Elegant themes and are included with all 118 West managed accounts.
I received an email from B-Bot@118West.AI, what does that mean?
All AI generated content and emails are identified by the .ai domain name. We want to be very clear when you are paying us for human work vs AI work and what our responses mean. Over 99% of our emails can be handled by B-Bot just as 99% of our phone calls are answered by a human sounding virtual receptionist.
I love your chatbot, how do I get it?
Currently B-Bot is available only to clients whose websites we manage. The public facing version is waiting for WordPress verification and then it will be a simple plug in for any WordPress website and available on the WordPress plugin store.
My ChatBot aka B-Bot doesn't know anything about my company?
Part of the "guardrail" system built into b-bot is that you get to decide what it is allowed to see on your website. We think more is better but there may be some areas you don't want it looking at. In the WordPress Control Panel under Plug-In's there is a option for B-Bot settings. Once you have selected what areas b-bot can read, you need to also select "build knowledge base" so it will start reading your website and learning about your company.
We loaded your chatbot plugin and it is asking for two keys, what are they and how do I get them?
Currently B-Bot is only working with the Anthorpic LLM. If we manage your website you have the option for us to to a remote hands off set up for $250 + 50% of the anthropic token usage which is limited to $50 a month unless otherwise noted on your account. The second key is from us, sorry the plugin isn't free, we are a business too.
Are other LLM's supported besides Anthropic?
Currently no. We are always looking at better ways to serve our customers, and with that in mind we quickly recognized that supporting more LLM's made support more difficult. As the AI market matures and a couple become profitable and stable we are planning to support two or three models. The time line is unknown.
